Maluso the beautiful dun bay stallion imported from Australia some 23 years ago has passed. He had seminoma (cancer) and we decided after having shared his life for the last five years it was time to say goodbye.

John and Susan Grindell had him as part of their family for nearly 17 years before we got the opportunity to start our own stud and use Maluso as our founding stallion. He immediately became a big part of the family and was a real gentlemen and character.

Maluso made a huge impact on our lives and enriched our experience with horses.  He gave us some beautiful foals, two of his fillies we bred were exported to Australia last year, and he has one more foal due this coming January.

There is one standing stallion by Maluso in the USA. He also has purebred daughters and grand-daughters across the world.

He will be sadly missed but always remembered.

Maluso's pure Spanish offspring have taken many National Champion titles including Champion Movement, they are successful dressage competitors and can jump.

Maluso was put over a huge range of mares from thoroughbreds to warmbloods, ponies, and heavy horses. Without exception he improved all these mares, giving bone to the lighter mares and refining the heavy ones. His part-bred offspring have taken numerous National Champion titles; they are exceptionally successful eventers, show jumpers and dressage competitors. They range in height from 15.1 to 17hh.

Maluso had a superb temperament which he passed onto his offspring. He was athletic, beautiful and trainable.......the perfect combination.

Maluso has two sons standing at stud in New Zealand and one in the United States.

International judges have said "if you want to see the perfect Andalusian, just look at Maluso"

He was incredibly successful in every field of endeavour.

•    Multichampion open breeds Sporthorse Stallion under 2 International judges.
